Qashqai Model: Mk.3 Qashqai - J12 (2021+) New Model

Hi all,

My QQ offered me a software update today from 0818 to 0821. Again not sure what the differences are but it took around 5-10 mins only via WiFi.

Little confusing at the end when it says “software update complete, turn the vehicle off and on again to confirm” did this several times and version still reads 0818. Got out, locked car and went inside for 10mins, came out, powered up and THEN it successfully completed. Now on 0821 (see below)

xenon102. the version of software you have is different to the J11a and j11b pre android auto head unit. I have a j11b with a nissan connect evo 7 screen still has the sd card slot and mine is i believe from memory F18A software.

This software is update at the dealers not over wifi

I had the same problem with mine, xenon, turned the car off, then on again a few times, and it stayed as 0818. At first I thought I'd done something wrong and the neighbours were wondering why I kept starting/stopping the car.

I just gave up with it, then checked when I had to drive out the next day, it was then showing 0821.

This is a great thread, lots of helpful info.

Can I just add my experiences and findings. I spent hours last night trying to update my Pulsar on D555 software to D605 but it just wouldn't work. Others on here have the same issue with the "update failed" message.

As per the suggestions here in the thread, I formatted the USB stick again, unticking the "quick" option. I also used 7-zip to unzip the downloaded firmware.

It worked first time this evening, took about 50 mins in all. Only real change I can see is the call button on the steering wheel now activates Google or Alexa but it was worth it just for that.

I too have had the update.

Ay the end, the same "switch off to complete updaye".

Switched off and on and same screen.

Got out, locked car, back in and same.

Drove to a car meeting, left for a few hours, back on and co.pleted.

I had the same update problems, I started my car several times and the SW version remained the same.
Does anybody know what this SW should update, or what are the enhancements? I haven’t see any changes.

Imo it's just a software update to the connect unit, probably mainly bug fixes, DAB software improvements and the occasional enhancement. I've not noticed any significant UI changes to be honest.

Actually just found neither Android Auto or Apple CarPlay are working anymore....

Anyone else affected?

No, Android Auto seems to be working fine on mine Pandjh.

The only thing I've seen that's changed is it always opens on Maps, and I haven't found out a way to change that yet.

It would also explain why my data usage has risen a fair bit over the past week or so.

Thanks Shannock. I foned Nissan CS and whilst tinkering in settings with them on the fone, after several attempts, it suddenly started to work again for AA then Carplay.
