Nope, not write restricted.
Tried a hard and factory reset of the head-unit and still nothing :(

PS just think of your issue, could it be that you have set in file explorer “do not show hidden files and folders”? How to you extract and copy data from archive?
Ran them over using Linux command so everything is definitely copied.... I'm a Linux Admin so I am pretty used to these sort of tasks or issues but I just wondered if the Nissan Connect had any weird quirks.

Just to be on the safe side I have also completed this using a Windows PC and the result was the same.
What version of the firmware are you currently on?

I successfully upgraded mine but sadly it didn't fix the "GPS Signal Lost" problem I was having. Possibly the radio cutouts are fixed, will need to give it more time to check.

Anyone have any tips for the GPS signal issue?

I suppose you have early J11 version, which requires fix of repositioning GPS antenna. There was TB issued for this issue.

yes indeed I do it s a 2015 model now just out of warranty. What does TB stand for? Do you think the garage will now try and charge me for this?

My aunt said she recently got called by her Dacia dealer to tell her that they're switching something over in the world of GPS and her sat nav will stop working. Do you think this is related to that then? The GPS antenna needs to be pointed to the new satellite?

Is this something I could do myself if they want to charge me through the teeth?

TB - Technical Bulletin. Why haven't you reported it when your car was under warranty?? Of course they will charge you, why shouldn't they? Unless you have very good connections at a dealer.

because the warranty ran out a good 6 months before the problem occurred
