That’s exactly what I’m getting. With or without the SD.
Later 3rd January
I’ve just been to local dealers Toomey’s Southend. were I bought car. Describe the fault and was about to say that I had heard on this forum that ...... but he finished it of with exactly what I had experienced. He said it was a known fault. Needed to go to car to check what version I had. (Didn’t say what) but then agreed it would be sorted out. Said it was the DAB problem, when it gets too many messages it locks up. (Didn’t have a clue what he meant. I don’t use the radio etc!) Booked in take car in next week. Will take 1 1 & 1/2 to 2hours.

This is my process. I have the engine running, sound off, Bluetooth disconnected, S/S off, lights on AUTO position. I insert the USB and open the hidden menu and go through the process only to face the “insert media” stage.
I’m using a FAT format 4GB USB, (also have used FAT32 but I can’t get to the screen after I press update). Should I use FAT or FAT32 ?
My hazards are off and my windows are all up. I have nothing in the SD slot and nothing is using the 12V socket either.

it`s fat32 format for the usb stick i used a 16gb stick but 8gb should be fine. try a bigger usb than a 4gb, did you uncompress the files from the download so that you have the same files as as i listed earlier on your usb stick...m21usm wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 6:42 pm This is my process. thats great then, try a larger usb stick aswell like 8gb just incase 4gb usb stick don`t have enough spare room left on it for the nissan system to add files while updateing

Just successfully updated to the latest firmware version using the software provided on this thread. Surprised how easy it was to do.
Thanks to whoever provided the firmware.
