Thanks for this, upgrade worked perfectly and now hoping my DAB doesn't drop out quite so much with random reboots of the connect system.

Not sure if I'm missing something or I have my info all mixed up.
Watching a video on the new 1.3l engine QQ, and they talk about the interior.
Now I know my 2018 Tekna maps are not nice and colourful such as the screenshot I took below, so I'm wondering if this isn't perhaps the latest firmware that has Apple carplay and Android Auto as well? Seems to me that this is the same HU as mine, not the newer one with the individual back and forward buttons on the right.

If I have my info right, does this mean that we might get an update on our "old" headunits?

"EDIT" kept watching the video and he confirmed Apply Carplay and Android Auto.

Definitely mentions Apple & Android. Definitely the old style head unit. Never actually shows it working though. Bit of a strange one that.

In case any other X-Trail users are watching:

The ICE unit in my 2016 X-Trail is the same as in the Quashqai (Maps SD card shows Nissan Connect 3) and my firmware version shows D302.

As such, I decided to see if it would update to D554 using the link at the beginning of this forum as I was getting intermittent DAB outages, sat nav would go crazy and unit would reboot.

I've just completed it and all worked as planned (as was said previously, the unit is the same across cars) - but thought I'd mention the 2016 X-Trail specifically as this posting seems to come up a lot when looking for 'Nissan Connect firmware upgrade'.

Method is the same in an X-Trail; I used the 'driving around' method - essentially turning car on, going into Service menu, selecting upgrade, inseting USB drive with software on and driving to let it do it's thing. Took about an hour overall.

I'll follow up if the DAB drops still happen.

The exact words are:

We've also got multiple streams of audio from devices such as Apple, Andriod [sic] and Bluetooth connectivity as standard.

No mention of CarPlay or Android Auto though.

My 2015 car was Apple, Android, Bluetooth and even Windows Phone compatible - nothing new there.

It's just the old unit.

Audio streaming is not the same as Bluetooth connectivity. Playing from your phone is playing from your phone, regardless of the phone's OS. Streaming is something completely different.

I already said it's the old headunit. Hence, something doesn't add up.

The Firmware upgrade worked great. Thanks for that.

The DAB dropouts are still there. Any suggestions on fixing that.

Thanks.

Yes still getting a few dropouts too but not as many as before the update. Satnav crashed once too and another time radio stopped working.

So yes better but definitely not perfect...
