My local dealer Toomey said that there is a known fault and they have had my car in for an hour. Now all OK. Free.

I downloaded the D605 file ages ago but never did it because the problem had seemed to go away. However, it had rebooted a couple of times last weekend so I thought I'd give it a go this morning.
All updated fine, about 55 mins.

At last - D605 now lets you press the forward/back key on the steering wheel to cycle through your 6 DAB presets, rather than through the whole DAB list alphabetically!
Been waiting for that one for years. I thought this would just be the bug fix for the reboot issues, so it's nice to see new features too.

Any other new features you've noticed? For instance, our daughter has a
'14 plate SEAT and her radio has the radio station ident icons on the screen. Would be a nice feature.

Really? I'm sure I tried it after I went to D554 a few months back. Maybe I didn't.
One other thing I noticed, I put my USB stick in this morning which has many thousands of MP3 files on it. After previous updates when it's lost the index, it's had to take at least an hour to reindex again. With the new update, it was about 10 minutes.

I've just updated to 0818 from 0804 via Wifi - didn't take too long and successful first time. Can't see many differences however...

Could you please post your head unit part number? Mine is 259157FW0A. The part number can be found out in a hidden menu by holding the Menu button pressed and rotating the right knob left and right quickly a few times.

Backstory:
A few months ago Connect displayed a notification for a new update 0816 but won't update, it just sits blocked in "Downloading" and displays no progress percentage.
The guys in service alleged that there is no update for my model but I insisted and they tried it on an identical Qashqai in the showroom and update 0816 came up.
Finally they served me some bull... that the update is only for the newer Connect, but I doubt there even is a newer and significantly different version. Besides, why would Connect offer an update if it's not made for it?
I'll check today whether update 0818 comes up.
