Does anybody have an idea how I can find the right update?Rastafara wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 5:46 pm I have an Xtrail (T32) with firmware version D010 (I know, vintage) and hardware version 31.
I have just joined but have read the whole Firmware thread, downloaded the firmware on page 44 and loaded it on a fully formatted FAT32 8GB USB drive. (4.5 GB free space left)
The update starts but fails after initializing.
At the start it says updatable data identified, onboard version is 010, media version is XXXX.
I would be grateful for help with the following questions:
Is hardware 31 working with firmware D605?
Why is the system not able to identify the firmware version on the USB drive (media version)?
Is this the reason why it fails? What can I do?
Do I need to take an intermediate step to get from 010 to 605?
Is it an issue that for the time being I do not have an SD card in the slot?
Thank you very much in advance for any hints to solving the issue.

Sorry about a bit off topic.karhulitos wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 1:53 pm Hi, sorry to reply on a very old post.
The story continues and today the unit was dismounted as I promised to my wife to peek inside to see if the failure (Update failed, COMMAND: script.lua:281 remoteExec) indeed was hardware related. And yes, it was. A chip, STA662 was burned and, according to the almighty Internet, it is responsible of radio and most audio tasks, and more importantly, is reprogrammable. Perfect root cause for the update failure.
Radio did fail before the whole box was bricked with garage's update attempt. So it wasn't shop's fault but the unit itself.
Albeit I can solder I couldn't even find or see any (home) means to replace the chip. So next step is: another unit from eBay.

few weeks ago, my juke had a problem. The problem is described in a Nissan Service Bullettin, n. NTB15-011b, dated November 1, 2018.
Pratically, A status message “Update Failed !” is displayed with a direction to “Insert update media” while a countdown from 60 is displayed. The audio system then reboots (Nissan Logo appears), and then will restart the countdown.
I am trying to update the firmware with the latest available, D605.
I tried several times, with different PenDrive USB, but the update procedure always fails at 58%, when this message is shown on the display: "Check NOR FS".
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
.
