Electrical gremlins - really stuck

Hi all

My wifes Qashqai (2011) is causing me headaches!!

All brake lights have failed and no warning lamps present on dash

Checked fuses

Check brake pedal switch

both ok and volts present at pedal

Help!!!!!!

Bulbs tested for open or short circuit? I assume the upper brake light is LED. No volts present at bulb connectors?

All lights are led and no volts at connectors. volts present at brake switch

Ok... there's only one fuse (#11, 10A) and there's not really much in the circuit (this one is from pre-facelift, so shows incandescent bulbs, but probably there's no other difference). Maybe a failed LED or a wire break somewhere - continuity between brake switch and brake lamp contacts??

Yes could well be a break in the wiring Im guessing? DIfficult to find however.
My wife did crack the rear light outer housing - maybe water has got in and done some damage somewhere
I've replaced the unit but still not working

Im wondering if I have damaged the BCM???

I did think of the BCM but thought there'd be more faults than just brake lights if it was damaged. There doesn't appear to be a BCM fuse in the cabin fusebox, like on the J11.

You should be able to test continuity between each stop lamp positive side and pin 2 of the stop lamp switch. Checking the ground connections would eliminate them too.
