Hi all
Apologies if this question has appeared before but I have recently purchased a 14 plate Acenta Premium and noticed I have the old 024 software and I am having awful issues with DAB.
I did read somewhere that there was a recall from Nissan a couple of years back and wondering if I contacted a Nissan dealer, would a recall update be free? Or is it best to go to CarShop of which I have a 3 month warrenty with, to get the upgrade?
Thanks

I have searched through as many posts for around an hour and can't find answer to whether this update would be free?
You'll probably find only Nissan dealers are able to do the update. It should be free at a service, whether it's free as a standalone I don't know. You can always ring them and ask.
Latest is currently D302. There is apparently a D502 and I asked about this when my car was in for a service on Monday and they said the changes from D302 to D502 had nothing to do with UK cars and so D302 is officially the latest here.

You can actually do it yourself if you can get hold of the D302 software file and stick it on a USB stick. Instructions attached.

If it's been Nissan serviced they'd likely do update foc, or you could wait until next service due & get done at same time. Getting serviced at Nissan dealer also gives you other s/ware updates foc too and one year's breakdown courtesy of Nissan via RAC.
If you search, using top left hand box for "dab update", you'll get 71 hits, including this thread.

Just wondering, has anyone attempted doing it themselves yet? Takes 50 minutes and you have to leave your hazards running and battery on charge, to stop it going into power save mode and bricking the unit.
I'd be a little nervous attempting it myself, probably would leave the engine running for 50 mins instead to be on the safe side.

That's strange... I wonder how I've ended up with D502? I assume they did it at the service in July, unless I've had it even longer than that.chrisw99 wrote:There is apparently a D502 and I asked about this when my car was in for a service on Monday and they said the changes from D302 to D502 had nothing to do with UK cars and so D302 is officially the latest here.
Used to have 2015 1.6dCi 130 Xtronic N-tec+ in Gun Metallic
My dealer could have always been telling me porkies. Unless someone can come up with a changelog/release notes for D502 and D554 I guess we'll never know!Hound wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2017 3:35 pmThat's strange... I wonder how I've ended up with D502? What's probably happened is you had an earlier version to D302 before your service so they updated you to the latest which is D502 , but there's no point them doing it if already on D302.
