Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2

Hello.
I have a small issue with my QQ J10 1,6 dci.
I get a warning light in my dashboard, and when I read out the error codes, I get a "Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 unrealistic" P0096 error. The car runs normally.
I have tried to exchange the airmass sensor without any luck.
Anyone know what my problem is and/or where do i locate the "intake air sensor 2"?

Thanks in advance :-)

/Svend

Known problem with the 1.6dCi. Also known as the Turbocharger Boost Sensor. Causes failure of
cruise control/speed limiter.

The sensor you linked to is the same as the one that replaced mine. I have a J11, and the engine
looks a little different, but the sensor is in the same location (although rotated somewhat). I had
a Continental OE-Nr223653584R sensor:

It was replaced by a Bosch OE-Nr 223657458R sensor under warranty. No issues since.

The Bosch's item number is 0281006108, as in your link for 214,12 DK (about £25 to us Brits).

Hello,

Did you manage to resolve your issue with Qashqai 1.6 DCI?

I'm having similar issue with mine, lack of power/boost around 2500 rpm , Red engine management light.

thanks

My issue is exactly as described on the original post above. I get an Amber Check Engine light with a P0096 error.

Strangely, my cruise control is also variable in that it works sometimes (I can turn it on but it won't set) and others - it works fine.

This is on a R9M engine (1.6) in an X-Trail (2016).

I have it booked in today and hopefully this solution is what they do.

Took it into Nissan and they diagnosed the fault as a Turbocharger boost sensor but needed to get the part. They reset the CEL but strangely it hasn't come on again (before, when I reset it with my handheld phone OBD device, it would come back on next day).

Do Nissan have a means of turning off the CEL light pending a fix?

My Qashqai J11 1.5dci 2017 has de same code malfunction. In the 2 years warranty revision the technicians reset de code and said to me that they changed the sensor but now, a mounth latter the fault light apears and after read de code with the elm327 the code is the same. is it possible that they only reset the code and do not change the sensor? or can be other problem?

Did anyone notice the word "unrealistic" in the top post....by chance?

I had amber MIL on, scanned car (using Delphi 150) got code P0096 Intake Air sensor 2 bank 1.
When I read live data the intake sensor was showing 130° C. Yet outside temp was 4° C. I removed sensor and checked continuity reading was 65.7 Ohms (should have been high in k ohms), thus confirming fault.
Thanks to reading this previous post I purchased the sensor for 1.5 Dci Logan engine (Bosch part) to replace the continental one fitted.
Cleared fault, Cruise now working, Light off, Glow plugs working.

Thanks for the tip.
