I had a gander at X Trail forums & could see no mention of 'hands free' grief as a thread there.

Here is the video of the xtrail handsfree working!
I’m not sure how to insert an image here but yes it’s the flat bottom new series Dave.
A friend owns one, their handsfree doesn’t work, Nissan told them they will fix it, Nissan also told them the manual is only for international customers (as manual says it works) but as we know ths is rubbish.
Yes this is slightly different head unit but steering wheel is exactly same AND it WORKS
Feel free to share video

To insert an image you need to select (when replying) "Full Editor", then scroll to attachments at base. Once uploaded there's an option to place the image inline ie in your post.
Image posted shows a screen that seems to be too small for SATNAV; possibly an option?

Two images are of steering wheel (working handsfree to make and receive calls) and head unit in Nissan x-trail T32X 2017
Thanks for your help gel.
Wonder if there is a user manual online as I’d like to compare to mine.

In Europe, Nissan unhelpfully don't post pdf of manuals; they should.
I have one from somewhere or other for mine though- think it was off the other QQ forum.

However, Nissan USA do post their manuals, but of course their specs will be better than ours I assume.

Sue, you really confused me (pretty easy these days) with the video pic of the Nissan Connect on the X-Trail which is completely different to what I have seen on the new QQ or X-Trail. Following your additional pics I found that this Connect System was installed in the older QQ‘s or as called before Dualis 2013.
So it would appear different Connect Systems are installed on the newer models, is this possibly Spec related for example cheap versus the expensive models - just interested if you know Dave :)

This is how our xtrail look in australia Dave, so maybe australia is missing something yet again.
Yes it seems to look like the old head unit new steering wheel, maybe Nissan kept the old head unit in this case as it works as clearly the new crap doesn’t!

I might have missed this before, but just looking at the data available in the US on the Nissan Rogue Sport (US) there is a comment mentioned I personally have not seen before. As well as „Bluetooth Hands Free“ there is also the comment onto iPhone „Siri Eyes Free“ which is what we use on our QQ J11A - might be of interest Dave :)

If this isn’t contravening advertising standards I don’t know what does... it’s also in the handbook as well. I was waiting for my first service after having to cancel my investigation visit in to this issue.
On the CarPlay topic, can this be applied as a software update?

galraid it’s in my handsbook as well, when I question this, they tell me, these features not avaialble for Australians only for international customers like yourself. But get this, everything else in the handbook that says where fitted and is fitted on mine, it works!
I’ve asked for the australia handbook, assuming one idiot may had given me and other customers the wrong book, their answer is, there is none there it!
When selling me the car, they had every chance to be honest with me, they didn’t, they lied!
I was looking at the previous series qashqai that being around 6 thousand dollars cheaper, but why would they want me to buy that for? Why not suck a bit more money out of the customer so tell her it’s the same as the previous series but better!!!

To update my car is back from 7 days in the repair centre, is it repaired you ask...... lol of course not!!!
Sent home with a faulty car yet again.
So enough is enough, moving onto next step now, wish me luck as I’ll need it. Fighting to get my rights from a dishonest company has been really hard to date but the volume will now be turned up higher with some heavy hands!
