Hi occasionally when driving the seat belt alarm goes off there's no light on the dash when it happens. Any way to silence the alarm or sensor to stop the alarm noise?by the way I have a 2007 mk1 qashqui

There is a pressure pad in the seat. There will be wires going to it under the seat that can be shorted to make the car think there is someone sat in the seat all the time. Be careful you don't have heated seats and short the heater, its not good.

Mine does that with a bag on the seat sometimes.

Same as switchback, and it doesn’t take much weight to trip the alarm.

I have the opposite with the front passenger seat where the alarm doesn’t go off when the seat belt isn’t clipped in.
Not a problem to me though.

Hi, I have a 2016 mk2 and 2 days ago my front passenger seat belt warning light and alarm started going off whilst the seat was empty. This was a continuous alarm and did not go off unless i plugged in the seat belt or turned the vehicle off, today it was intermittent, it would go on and off randomly again would stop once seat belt was applied. Can anybody help?

The Nissan diagrams are poor here...as regards the belt buckle receptacle at the side of the seat. There is a cable coming off that buckle receptacle that has a cable plug under the seat to somewhere? Perhaps to BCM to flag up an unbuckled warning?

I suspect buckling signalling is a simple mechanical switch in the receptacle body. Prepare WD40?

after i start the engine, one of the rear seat belt warning remains on for sometime, no matter seat in use or not, or seat buckled up or not.
stays there for few secs to a min, and then gets off on its own after sometime or when i start driving.
do i need to go to mechanic or is it normal??
any help will bemuch appreciated.
