Hi guys

Ive searched right through the forum and online about my issue but to no avail, my problem is with the auto levelling headlight, my nearside dip beam is a lot lower than my offside, ive took the levelling motor off and reconnected it but i was wondering if a part should be connected to the nipple to adjust the light and if so how do i reconnect it? It's a 64 plate 1.5 dci diesel tekna.

You can adjust it in seconds. Check the service manual

Hi duncho and thanks for your reply, already checked the manual and it doesnt state anything about it, ive tried turning the screw on top of the motor clockwise and counter and the beam does not move.

Thank you for that great insight Hound, i was wondering how to get the elbow back onto the adjusting nipple. i know on the j10 you unscrewed the headlamp housing and clipped it back into place, i suppose it may differ on the j11. i suppose it could be easier to take the full unit out but i've heard you need to take the front bumper off in order to do that.

I didn't find anything about removal or installation of the adjustment motor itself; manual just says it's "integrated".

As you say, if you want to take out the headlight, unfortunately the bumper has to come off first.

Cheers bud, the aiming motor just twists 1/8 of a turn and comes out. Ive managed to raise it slightly by turning the screw clockwise but it wont raise any further and the low beam is still very low compared to the otherside.

Might be looking at taking it back to nissan to get it checked 😞

You haven't got a flat tyre have you? ;)

Looks like going to Nissan may be the sensible option. They can reset the auto-leveller with CONSULT software or diagnose a mechanical issue.
