Mobile to car issue

Having bought a second hand 2014 Qashqai I had to reset my audio system to factory default settings. When I tried to reconnect my iPhone 7 its is asking me to connect the Nissan connect app first. Any ideas guys since apparently the app is not available in my country ( Malta ).

You don't need an app to connect; why did you go back to factory settings in first place.?

i phone can connect via Bluetooth or cable connection via glovebox usb port.

Hi Gel,
Went back to factory setting to clear the previous owners details and phone numbers.
The issue is that it is requesting to connect the app first and here in Malta we do not seem to be able to register.

Have you followed handshake procedures listed in your Connect Manual?

No... unfortunatley did not get the manual with the car. Will try to source out what the handshake procedure is. Thanks for the info.

Good to know that the issue has been resolved. I did a forget this network from my phone and reboot the mobile bluetooth. All ok now. Thanks Gel.
