Software updated yesterday to desensitise the AEB - lets see how it goes!

From Australia: Went in today to have the AEB software updated on my 2018 Nissan Qashqia Ti and drove out with the AEB disabled via software.
They tried to update it 2 or 3 times and the software came back with errors while updating.
Now the dealer is waiting for a reply from their technical division to why the software cannot updated.

Now it's a wait and see what happens.

Mine has been 4 times now with this fault, they replaced the camera as they could not find a fault with the distance sensor or radar. It’s been fine then as soon as I’ve been on a longer run it’s playing up, it’s also affecting the lane detection some of the time.

I have a 2 week wait as mine requires a new radar, I can't figure out that I drove my QQ to the dealer with no faults other than the software update for the Front Emergency Brake and now it needs a new radar and the cruise control is totally disabled.

I’ve finally received a Vehicle Campaign letter through the post today to advise me about having the Intelligent Emergency Braking System software updated as soon as possible. It will take around an hour

That'll likely be the update I got at Service last month...not that I noticed any change after.
Need to drive at a polystyrene box or something similar...

Hopefully after they apply the update, it won’t introduce other problems!

Forgot to say that it flung the EB symbol at me very briefly as I approached a road island couple of days back. Never did that before at that place but maybe I was slightly faster? I think it gently sounded as well which made me look at the binnacle.

TBH i'm not sure what this thing is supposed to do on my N-Connecta? I get the feeling its not braking...just bells and lights. Needs a test with anger.

Colin, I think I have mentioned this before, this system definitely does Warn / Alarm and Brake and it worked 3 times on our QQ J11A model with pretty hard braking, but it was a correct function. I have had it on the J11B also a couple of times and Yes I think it was my problem, just “too fast” (no wife) and I just got the message and sound - Dave

I always expected my late 2017 N-Conn to brake Dave. I have not sensed that, so I'm going to have to arrange a soft target at some point.

Its confusing really because:

The Connect 3 Head Unit has a Nissan POI file stuck there in the POI menu. Not able to delete, so I think its in their untidy firmware. The firmware is 16A which is ok and not been updated since 2017. It works...leave it I suppose?

EB was updated last month and may have pinged at me a few days back when I drove toward a road island ...normally, around 30/40 mph.

I get a kind of a short double tone at a certain sharp corner near my house...always and nowhere else. The EB was singular tone and different to the corner tune. My own POI's are completely different to any of these tones.

Weird stuff and not properly documented....
