Press the settings button to see Average 2. It keeps 2 sets of records which can be independently reset. In setup you can change the readout to miles I believe - if you want to of course.

no matter which speed i travel
motorway in town or where ever?
I live in Denmark we use km.

Average 1 is the average speed overall during the total time driving from zero miles on the clock. Average 2 is during time driving since turning on the ignition for that particular trip. 1 will take a long time to either go up or down, whilst 2 will fluctuate quickly as you drive.

Press the up/down button on the steering wheel and you'll see there are lots of different things you can display on that screen.

I normally have mine set showing the music track currently playing.
