Hi,

I recently change the clockspring on my J10 (steering wheel buttons had stopped working). Since then the ESP off and slippery road light has been on on dashboard.

I’m thinking that the steering angle sensor now has to be calibrated to fit the new clockspring.

What are your thoughts and is it possible to reset it without a scantool.

:)

Cannot remember the answer to this but it was discussed a couple of years back. Use the search button at the top of the forum and you will find the answers you seek.

It happens to me two months ago. I had to go to a nissan workshop to recalibrate the steering angle sensor with nissan consult 3. It took them 2 minutes to fix the computer. Previously I did tryit with a Delphi scanner and a Bosh scanner an no go. With consult 3 it was very easy. In Romania I paid 40 Euro for calibration.

I finally got it fixed.
The problem was the steering angle sensor had rotated from its zero position (one turn) while installing it to the clockspring (rookie mistake, I know). No calibration needed.
I’m writing this here so when the next person has this same problem you know what to check.

Hi everyone,
after substitution of clockspring on my J10 QQ, I think I have same problem, ESP alarm on.
So I need to calibrate the steering angle sensor. I would like to buy the Nissan consult 3, not 3 plus.
Please someone of you can confirm that consult 3 is able to calibrate the sensor?
Moreover, is it able to do DPF forzed regen?
Is there anywhere a complete list of consult 3 features?
