Just recently purchased my first 2015 QQ, and I was wondering what settings you guys use to get the best out of the air con.
I purchased this on a rather hot day and on the way I tried to have a play around with the air con but couldn't quite work out what was even working or not working and I just got confused and hotter. I had to just open the windows instead.

This would be for myself and a front seat passenger.

Ideally, if someone could show a photo of their air con control unit so I can see exactly what is on/off so I can match.

Many thanks in advance guys.

Turn down temperature control as far left as you can go; should show " 16, then LO", and make sure the A/C button on left of display is turned on. CLOSE WINDOWS.
If not cooler you probably have shafted Air Con condenser, which will be expensive fix, in addition the new
refrigerant gas (dictated by EU) is much more expensive than previous type.

Or you could just use the "AUTO" button, but that normally always sets aircon to recycling; you need to turn
that off to prevent misting up.

Have it on AUTO and set it to 20. On hot days I usually find this gets far too cold so eventually knock it up to 21

Mine doesn't - it does occasionally but not "normally" and changes to non-recirc once the temperature's been reached.

Surely the whole thing about climate is that it's "set and forget"?

I just leave mine on Auto with AC on and the temperature usually about 21degC. I don't fiddle with it constantly.

If it's hot just open all the windows when you get in until the AC kicks in - takes several hundred metres for me - then close the windows, Lowering the temperature doesn't make any difference to the cooling...

Just got into mine after being sat in the sun and it said 29c outside. So whether you set it for Lo , 16 or 23 it blasts out the same coldness as it tries to get it down. I'm usually far too freezing after a few minutes so have to set it back up to 23 or something for a bit to reduce the coldness.

What this post just shows is that there is no ‘ideal setting’ as far as the air con is concerned. ‘Ideal’ would be find your preferred temperature a set it to ‘auto’ and turn off the recirculate button. I think this has been previously mentioned.

To answer the OP though - who said his was getting hotter not colder. There's a good chance this is one of the regular air con faults I suppose.

Press AUTO - the light above the AC button should now be on. If not press AC so it is. Turn down the temperature to LO. If it's not blasting out freezing after 30 seconds or so, then it may be a fault.

Always on Auto - windows never mist up
Usually set on 18.5 on the driver’s side and the front seat passenger can adjust their side to their own comfort.
