All windows opening - Car parked!

Came down this morning to find all the car windows open. I thought this could be a 'long' press or other key combination on the iKey as the keys were in my pocket, but could find nothing obvious. I have the UK model with only two buttons on the iKey for open and close.

Has anyone on the forum experienced this or know anything?

You're lucky, my QQ doesn't have such a useful feature. Sure this has been raised before; suggest you use SEARCH.

As for the windows, I've discovered that you can open / close with the key (iKey). Hold lock / unlock for 3 seconds and they close / open, and can be stopped at any point by releasing the button."

I'll have to see if there a menu option in the car to stop this.

Does anyone know how to disable the key operated window opening/closing feature on my 18 reg QQ?Just came down to find all windows open on a rainy morning. Don’t know how it happened but very annoying.

Its on the 17 plate Connecta as well...surprised me really. Not found a disable function and seems to be a fixed feature that requires the long press as with closing. Not had a problem with it other than initial finger trouble?

Dave, this is a comment posted on the other QQ Forum - Dave 😃

“If you press and hold the unlock button on the remote the windows all open on the Tekna+. If you press and hold the lock button on the remote the windows all close again. My guess would be someone has sat on the remote or the remote is faulty”.

Welcome to this forum.

There is a curious comment in the manual:

Operating windows with Intelligent Key
The windows can be opened or closed (where fitted)
by pushing the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the
key fob. This function will not operate while the window
timer is activated or when the windows need
to be initialised. For details about the key fob button
usage, see “Remote keyless entry system (where
fitted)” in the “3. Pre-driving checks and
adjustments” section.

I don't know to what the phrase "while the window timer is activated" relates. Anyone?

I'm not aware it can be turned off entirely.

EDIT - I've now found this which explains it:

Window timer:
The window timer allows the window switch to be
operated for approximately 45 seconds even if the
ignition is placed in the OFF position. The window
timer will be cancelled when the driver’s or front
passenger’s door is opened or the preset time has
expired.
