Hi, i have 06 plate 4WD model and my issue is that on start up an orange triangle appears on the dash for around 10 seconds and the goes off(no other light). Also my fuel consumption is dreadful ,around 25 mpg around the doors if that so must be a fault somewhere. Any ideas?

I don't have a J10 handbook but for the J11 that's the Master Warning Light, and illuminates to say there's a (minor?) fault somewhere - which should be indicated by something else coming on too:


When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the
master warning light illuminates if any of the following
are displayed in the vehicle information display
(see “Vehicle information display” later in this section):
• No key warning
• Key ID incorrect warning
• Low windscreen washer fluid warning
• Parking brake release warning
• Door/boot open warning
• Low tyre pressure warning
• Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) warning (where fitted)
• Intelligent Key system warning
If the driver assist system warnings (where fitted)
appear in the vehicle information display, the master
warning light also illuminates. See “Blind Spot Warning
(BSW) system (where fitted)” in the “5. Starting
and driving” section, “Lane Departure Warning
(LDW) system (where fitted)” in the “5. Starting and
driving” section, and/or “Forward emergency braking
system (where fitted)” in the “5. Starting and
driving” section.

I've now downloaded a J10 handbook and that states:

Master warning light
The master warning light is displayed when any
warning message is displayed. See “Vehicle information
display” later in this section.

OP needs to check his own manual me thinks Gloucester!

Worth keeping in mind Gel that not all owners are in possession of an owners handbook!

Mine is exactly the same, just the system doing all it's checks

Is there 3 small circles displaying the 2nd row seat belts by any chance ?
