IEB
I experienced this activating of IEB on a journey at Christmas. I have travelled the same route several times without it operating. I have the incident on video and looking at it again I see I was approaching a right hand bend, into winter sun and on a wet road. There were two people walking along the pavement on the left hand side and when the activation took place they may have been directly in the line of sight because of the bend in the road. I don't know how to post a short video of it on here for others to evaluate. One thing I would like to know. Do the brake lights activate at the same time as the IEB operating?

Geordieman, regarding the Brake Lights. I would think that these have to illuminate to warn vehicles behind. I know when ours operated there were a few vehicles behind moving very irratically I think they call it Braking. If the Brakes are operated manually or automatically which means that they are being applied, isn’t it a must to show Warning Lights to following vehicles to eliminate a possible Concertina or Rear End Crash - just my thoughts Dave 🤨

I like having the blind spot warning light - it seems to work well and the audio warning when you indicate is effective

I've got a 68 plate teckna and have had IEB issue described above but without the actual braking being applied. It has been to the dealer 4 times and there is less than 1000 miles on the clock. It is an absolute pain. It happens mostly on longish runs at a steady mph. Weather is not an issue. Not happy about taking the car on a long run but I didn't spend £20K plus to have a car to go to the shops in. Any ideas?

Last week I had the emergency brakes applied twice in quick succession. I was in a carpark nothing else moving and end wall about 100m away.
The following day the stop/start operated just before I had come to rest. I had trouble getting it started again, the engine turned over but failed to fire up although eventually it did. To the dealer's tomorrow I think.

Dealer wanted the car in immediately for diagnosis. Fault in radar unit which was replaced this morning so fingers crossed problem solved.
