Took my Nissan Qashqai (2017) to my local dealer (Ireland) and asked if he could check that the maps were up to date (https://www.nissan.co.uk/ownership/niss ... pcare.html). The Service Manager there said he had never heard of updating the Navigation system, and never done it before. He said the only way he was aware it could be done was replacing the memory card at €500+.
Does anyone know how this can be done, or at least checked?
Thanks

That's a joke; Certainly in UK you get SD Card updated annually at Nissan Service; I recall
this benefit was only on QQ's registered after a certain date. I don't qualify :)

Your dealer is incompetent; you may want to raise with NISSAN IRELAND Cust Service.

If you use forum SEARCH box for "Map Update" you'll find details of a forum member who
sells very competitively- £35 ish.

You may wish to hold off for a couple of weeks as the latest annual map update is due any time soon.

I got a mail from Nissan Europe the 28. of August 2018 telling me that there was a new map update. I drove by my dealer here in Denmark who replaced the SD-card. It only took two minutes.

Did they do this for free?

I contacted the map providers recently to ask about the v4 card, she told me they've been given the v4 product info so they know it is out "imminently" but couldn't give me an exact date. It has been October the last couple of years.

The current latest you can buy, v3, has map data from Quarter 1 2017 - i.e. nearly 2 years out of date.

When v4 comes out very soon, the map data is Quarter 1 2018.

The strange thing about your post - you can get them for about 35-40 if you look around, but the official full price from Nissan is about £130-£150 so not sure why he said 500.
