Hope for some advice on manual diesel qashqai. I have a stop start system error light flashing. The switch that enables disables the stop start is lit but can't be turned off. In addition the cruise switch won't set cruise speed. Cruise can be enabled it just won't set the speed. Car drives OK. Any help please

Hi firestarter UK. Your symptoms sound like a failing battery. What year? Loads of threads here about the issues. Do a search here or Google the symptoms. Hope you sort it out.

I now have orange and red engine management symbols up on dash. Power on acceleration can be hesitant. Have gone to halfords and ordered battery. It's a special order as guy said its start stop and also said we need a trained engineer to fit as car needs re setting. All seems positive from halfords. 200 fitted. Expensive battery

It could be MUCH cheaper at Nissan - £120 fitted I've seen but I can't find that website at the moment (EDIT - probably the garage I used - https://www.wessexgarages.com/nissan/se ... re-repair/)

Mmmm looks like I been done over then on the price. I might give them a phone. Surprised nissan was cheaper.

OK so battey from halfords hasn't fixed issue. Booked in with Nissan on Friday. However I have borrowed an error check machine. Got 2 errors. P0380 which is a glow plug heater circuit error and p242f which is Ash in particulate filter. As car is sometimes sluggish when driving maybe this is why the start stop has been disabled. Anyone ideas how much this might cost?

I would use the error check machine to reset the codes first to see if they come back.

Apparently, https://www.terraclean.co.uk/dpf-clean/ are very good.

Be careful with dealers & some garages as they will not attempt to clean the DPF & will insist on replacing it at great cost to you.
