It’s nothing else than aging counter which is advised to be reset, however it is not a must to do so. Try the following:
1. Disconnect (-) battery pole from the car
2. Charge the battery fully with ext. charger
3. Reconnect the battery
Let me know whether that helped.

I've just spoken with my local Nissan, asking for availability and price of a battery for my 2014 Stop/Start Qashqai Tekna 1.5 dCi and (after quoting me £127 (all in, with VAT) for the Nissan 720 70AH I asked the guy if I needed anything further - say, a memory saver, or to reprogram the car after I have installed the new. He said absolutely not, it's just a case of removing the old one and putting the new one and connecting it. I did ask (and I said "No offence but...") and he repeated, no, nothing further required.
I guess I'll be finding out tomorrow or the day after...

UPD: I jump-started my car and let it run a few minutes. My battery is now able to start the car, and even the Stop/Start activates now and then. Just this morning it sounded as if the battery was about to give by the time the engine started, and I got a bit worried. But it did start the car. I used a battery tester and it is reporting the battery as "12V - half charged".
Now you got the car going you'll be able to go and pickup your new batt and not have to worry about jump starting againalexliz wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 8:38 am UPD: I jump-started my car and let it run a few minutes. Thanks Andy, yes, aware. I was just wondering if it might be something else with the car causing it to charge particularly slowly or not at all. Because it didn't use to give this fault (ie struggling to start the engine) till the other day. Many thanks again.
