I took my car in for its first service yesterday expecting the maps to be updated, the service email confirming the appointment talks about mapcare. However when speaking to the servicing department they said the map updates are done over the air and therefore didn't need to do anything. I thought this was only on the updated connect systems recently released unless I have missed it somewhere. Have I just been fobbed off? Did a search on the forums and most relate to outdates SD cards.

Sounds like you are fobbed off. If you have a J10 or j11.

The maps are on the sd card.

Fobbed off I would say, I bought a j11b facelift QQ in July, the service centre fitted the SD card on the day I picked it up.
I asked them about updates and was told a newer SD card would be fitted next July at service time, I’ll be making absolutely sure it is.

Had a 2017 1.5 dci Accenta premium with pan roof and vision pack. Now have 2020 1.3 Tekna .

The dealer is installing a new SD card in my QQ next Monday as part of the annual service.

Mine had its first service last Wednesday. Definitely did get a map update when it was done, as i checked the cards before and after to make sure. Was also told they'd be doing it when i took it in, so checked when i left to be sure. Seems dealers are a little inconsistent with the map update. Go back and hve a shout at them.

I believe that updates through wifi are available for software and maps through the new head unit. But that's unlikely on you car as it's a pre update model. (The new new j11B).

Also noticed that it'd been hoovered and washed properly too. I usually use a local hand car wash for mine. And it usually gets dirty again withina week. But this time it's still glowing. Thinking of asking if they cn do it once a month instead.
Facelift J11b N-connecta 1.6 x-tonic in vivid blue. And a dual accelerator for my dodgy foot..........

Thanks for all of your responses on this confirming my thoughts. Will be in to them tomorrow to try and get it sorted, have also emailed the Nissan customer support.

"1st May 2016 onwards" - but I did manage to persuade my dealer to give me one!

This is only for UK cars as far as I know. My import QQ that never left the UK is excluded from the offer (paperwork export only).

I think your correct, UK cars only, my SD card was changed today.
