Will got the maps sort
And it is the way Nissan are date stamping the maps that is confusing.
the maps i had on my system were 2017.12.1
When i went to up the system said no updates available.
But looking closer via the Mapupate tool Nissan have dated stamped the new maps wrong instead of 2018.6 they show on the map tool as 2017.12.2
So again it looks like no updates.
So i delete all maps via the tool on the usb stick then looked under new maps
there was now a new europe map with 2018.6 you have to cleick on full reset and download.
once i did this it started downloading a 16gb map of Europe took 45 mins to download .
went to car started install now have new 2018 maps
Car is a 1.3 Nov 2018 160 bhp DCT with 19inch wheels.
Now car is 1.3 Jul 2021 160 cvt Tekna with 19 inch wheels ink blue.
now Car is 1.3 Jan 2024 160 bhp tekna with 19 inch wheels Mag Blue

23 minutes, not bad for a 16Gb update via USB.

Now when i check via the wifi in car and also via the webpage it say maps up to date.
But why Nissian date stamp the new maps 2017.12.1 update 2
it should have been if the maps were issued last June should have been date stamp 2018.6
So I assume if they update maps once a year then new maps should be on way now.
Strange that Nissian do a 1 year update for the tomtom maps
When my tomtom go6200 has 4 map update a year plus Speed Cameras.
Just recived the 2nd q map updates for the portable tomtom Yesterday

I have been playing around with updating my satnav for the past week or so, and getting plenty good advice on the site. When I updated to the latest maps for UK North / Ireland and UK South I lost the Eircodes I was able to access (just various ones around the country).
I tried a full map reset and update to usb stick it shows "Europe Version 2019.03" size 16.52GB, download time to the stick was a massive 13 hours, I had to leave the pc running overnight. I am reluctant to try and load it to the car in case it takes the same time to complete.
My speedtest shows a download speed of around 50MB.

Similar to Garmin Updates...very regular indeed. Likely every 6 weeks? Nissan has to pay for updates I would imagine, so if they don't pay we don't get...much very often.

Hi All
I have had another try to update my maps
the Car and the pc said i had the latest maps
I had version 2 ......so went for full reset now have 2019-3 maps now show version 4
So maps have updated although the car and pc said i already had the new ones
trouble is 2019-3 still means tha Nissian are supplying maps a year out of date.
Car is a 1.3 Nov 2018 160 bhp DCT with 19inch wheels.

They are ...always. Nobody is going to update maps for a couple of new roads or change in flow every couple of months. Its annually accumulative I think, so always at least a year old and depending when put up for download. Or when anyone notices a download available?

I think the point being made by Travelusa was that the car and software both said No Updates yet the version on the USB was 2017 and the full set online were marked as 2019... ie an updated version that the software didn't offer via the update path.

Am now doing a full reset too, my last update was Jun 2019 and its offered no updates since.

Looks like a bug in the update software to me.
