Qashqai Model: Mk.2 Qashqai - J11 (2013–2017)

Post by Hens1955 »

I have a 64 plate Qashqai Teckna-Dig T and am trying to update the mapping from the original (2013) version that came with the car. I looked on the Nissan website and found the Connect 3 Europe V3 card version being sold for £109 and the website confirms it will fit Qashqai’s from 2013. As my car was going into the local Nissan dealer for a service I asked how much it would cost for them to get the card. Their parts department told me that the card would not work and could potentially ruin my system and that I would need to update my system at a cost of over £300. I rang Nissan direct and after a lot of dithering they said the online card was the correct one. I am in a quandary, who do I believe? Has anyone else come across this issue and how was it resolved. Your help would be appreciated.

I wonder what the "over £300" upgrade would have covered?

The £300 upgrade is the cost of a new sd card, I checked with the parts department this morning. They put the reg of my car in the system to find out which sd card I needed. I was told the £105 card may affect my unit and if it did it would cost over £1500 to replace. To be fair, they did say come back in a couple of months to see if Nissan have come up with a cheaper sd version for my car.

They're having a laugh; even buying from their map partner (HERE), you get latest version for £105.
You just slot it in; no dealer involvement required/ no risk to Connect system.

Take my earlier advice & search here re updates for half the £105 price.
