Hi all,

I’m a new member of your forum!
I recently get my new 1.3 Qashqai Acenta in pearl white color!

My family and I are so happy to get this!!
We are so excited and we are in the car all the time!!

In my version (Acenta), the Infotainment system came without navigation app. I was wondering if it is possible to install with a custom way (such as via usb) a navigation app such as HERE or TOMTOM.
Is there any way to get this installed? Have anyone tried this? Was there any success?

I’m looking forward to your response and I want to thank you in advance for your time and your information!!

Have a nice day!!

You plug in your mobile phone and use that as your satnav, it should be explained in your users manual.

I just imagined a navigation app without need of mobile. I thought that it could be just a trick in order to accept an application via usb.

Hello.

I conclude you're not in Britain since the Qashqai isn't available in Acenta grade here. [ EDIT - I should note that subsequent research shows it appears it may have been available in the UK for a couple of months in mid-late 2018 but that appears to be with the 1.2 engine not the 1.3... ]

The grades in the UK are Visia, Acenta Premium, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+.

All have built-in sat-nav except the Visia.

No one buys the Visia since the spec's so poor.

Hence no one I believe has asked your question before. Hence no solutions but I strongly suspect it's not upgradable.

Perhaps you could post a picture of the unit you have installed [EDIT - does it have an SD card slot?] - is it like the unit in the Visia which is significantly different to the higher grades?

I’m from Greece. You supposed correctly that i’m Not from the UK.

I have no sd card receiver, that’s the reason that I asked information for infotainment without sd.

Below you can see the photo that I took earlier.

Well that's certainly the new unit - but whether anyone on here has one is doubtful - as I've explained it appears that all UK Qashqais come with that system AND sat nav or come with a simpler radio.

The UK ones have "MAP" as the second left button down.

I've certainly not heard on here of anyone trying to retrofit satnav to the new system. I suspect you might be luckier on other european/world forums where cars similar to yours are sold.

I think your problem is a lesson to everyone . Only buy a car with the features you really want as it is often impossible to upgrade afterwards.

I don't agree totally with this opinion.

Let me explain you the reason..

In order to get this feature, i should pay for an NConnecta version of Qashqai and i should pay 3-4k more.
I don't think that it worth 3-4k to get maps. I know that you get more things than this but these are not of my favourite.
So, if i want the maps, i can pay for an android media center of 10" screen (instead of the 7" which is now installed). A good unit costs around 300-400 Euros, so this offer worth.

But my question doesn't concern this. My question concerns if i can upgrade the current system.

Interestingly the Greek Nissan website shows this

acenta.JPG

... and translated that reads as:

7-inch color screen, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto support, and much more, will fascinate you in this version

equipment includes:

System A-IVI
Rain & light sensors
Leather steering wheel & leather lever
Alloy wheels 17 "
Clima & Fog lights

... so it appears you have connectivity?

[ it is known that in the UK some people who thought they'd get this with the new engines haven't... ]
