Hi All,

I am the new owner of a 61 plate (pre facelift) mk2 Qashqai Tekna. Had it for a week and thoroughly enjoying it!

One thing I am struggling with is trying to work out what features my car should have!

I’ve got chassis control, and in the guidebook and everywhere else this is spoken about as having 3 components (where fitted), but I can only see trace control in the menu.

As my Tekna was top of the line I assume that either the manual was printed knowing that these extra features would be added or it was an added extra. Can anyone elaborate? Also does anyone know where I can find a definitive list of the features my car has?

Someone may have access to the Nissan brochure for that vintage.

Welcome to this forum. I'm a bit confused by your description. I'd have said the J10 is the Mark 1 and the J11 (late 2013 on) is the Mark 2.

The J10 had a mid-term facelift which occurred in 2009/2010.

So I conclude you have a late 2011 - early 2012 facelift J10 mark 1 Qashqai... * see below

Well I have a brochure dated both 10/2011 and 2012/04 so that should cover it.

Neither of the words "chassis control" or "trace" occur in the document however.

All trims have "Electronic Stability Program" (ESP) and "ABS with Brake Assist and EBD"


* - you could I suppose have a Mark 2 J11 (2014-2018 pre-facelift) with a personalised numberplate making it look older than it is? If so could we have the exact spec and year?

I have a 65 plate Tekna, so only 6 months...ish difference. What exactly do you think you're missing ?

It’s not that I think I’m missing anything, I’m just confused as to why I have part of the chassis control, so I’ve got active trace control but not active engine brake or active ride control.

I’m sure it’s only a feature of the ‘auto’ version of the QQ.

Both engine brake and active ride control? That would explain it!

I don't have engine brake or active ride control either. Never heard of them, so as gvmdaddy say's, maybe it's on auto's only.

The spec for a May 2016 Qashqai - all models - lists:

Chassis Control (Active Engine Brake*, Active Trace Control and Active Ride Control)

*Xtronic auto transmission versions only

... so you've got Active Ride Control!
