My local dealer tried D605 update but sadly it failed to fix the problem. Anyone had a similar disappointment and if so where did you go from there? Cheers.

Had my software update eventually today "courtesy" of most unenthusiastic main dealer - at least they didn't try to charge me for it . The slightly bizarre thing about this whole issue is that the audio dropouts and system rebooting had diminished noticeably since a couple of weeks ago - improving from "every few minutes" to almost tolerably random. This is information I did not share with the dealer! Anyone else noticed this? Will post a note about stability of the upgrade in a week or so. Friend has had his done about 10 days ago and it is apparently stable. I empathize with the guy for whom the upgrade has made no difference - strong communication back to Nissan who virtually promised the upgrade would solve the issues? Mike 65 plate J11

Hi @robertsoptom, did you check that D605 has definitely been installed?

I had my upgrade yesterday, part of me expected some more features or something better than a fix as the guy described it as a complete overhaul of the drive. It didn't look like it has done anything apart from a patch for the issues. I haven't had it long enough to determine if it's fixed the problem though.

Hi @qqdriver. Yep the dealership confirmed they tried D605. Nissan have escalated the case (whatever that means). Waiting for a case manager to contact me. 🙄

Yeah I agree that the Nissan connect unit has been very stable for the last 2 weeks or so (driving around South London).

I haven't had the Nissan software update/fix, even though I've received a letter from Nissan, because hardly any drop outs or reboots (currently on the D554) !

I do intend to update it but fascinated to read others confirmation of its results.

Hi Guys, update ref D605 install, Unit has not missed a Beat working Fine, approx a month now and no Issues

I have had the update now, but no improvement in my DAB reception sadly (there is no DAB!). So that suggests that my problem is not the same as the one most people here have been describing. Never mind, back to the drawing board!

It's funny, I was going to have mine updated but didn't, because my unit has started working perfectly WITHOUT the update??
