Hi, I have an issue I believe with my 13 plate Qashqai.
It started a few weeks ago, I drive my car for up to 1 minute and during this time both my traction control warning light comes on and simultaneously the light indicating it has been switched off, comes on too. It doesn't matter the speed I do, or the condition of the road, they both come on.
I must say that I require my brake discs and pads changing all around as they were Amber advisories on my latest service, could this be linked at all?
I have (attempted to) upload an image of the lights.
Any feedback is welcome, thank you.

Do the lights go off after the one minute?

No they don't, once they're on, they're on.
It resets once I turn the engine off, but sure enough, back on during the next journey.

Your best bet is to get a fault code reader, cheap as chips.

My User Manual (not AWD) refers to ESP and Slip warnings. Starts off with check brake fluid level. Braking and associated control functions are the ABS system. Certainly looks like a full braking system check and replace stuff.

Hi there, I posted about this and no-one bothered to reply.

I've had mine in for diagnostic testing on the exact same fault. Please note your car will NOT pass its MOT with these lights on.

Apparently its a common fault with the qashqai's and its actually due to a blockage in the DPF filter. I'm having to have the pipe replaced!

BTW a fault code reader will not pick this fault up.

Hutch100uk did you get a result to the DPF issue please?
We've just had what looks to be a successful DPF regen on our 2011 1.5 DCI+2 and, although it appears to have solved the Engine Warning light problem, the traction control is off all the time.
The garage reset it but it came straight back on, showing a Cruise Control fault code (ACDS) that they say they cannot investigate further without full diagnostic suite which they do not have. The CC has never worked in the year we've had it as far as I know.

Is your horn and other buttons working on your steering wheel? If the cruise control isn't working then the issue might be with the clock spring. On my qashqai none of the controls and horn worked on steering wheel. I also had the traction control light on all the time but after getting the clock spring replaced by a local mechanic the horn and all controls worked (not tested cruise control), also the traction control light has gone off now. Worth checking the clock spring.
