Rear light bulbs

Might be the wrong title but I’ll carry on
If I change my rear bulbs on my CARAVAN to led bulbs or led lamp units. Do the led units need to be CANbus or does it not matter

For a caravan, it won't matter as the canbus system does not extend to the caravan.
