Navigation problem on J11 model

I'm having an issue with the navigation. My location is like 25km offset from my current location. I live in Malta and nav says I'm in the Mediterranean Sea. This started intermittent now its always with this fault. I can't navigate and I'm travelling to Sicily in 10 days where the GPS is essential

. I tried factory reset but it did not help. Anyone had a similar issue?

I had it once after thr DAB system crash and reboot. It took several minutes to correct itself. What you need is a GPS reset, that might only be possible by disconnecting the battery for a while. I don't think the hidden menu offers a gps reset but you could try a system self test instead first.

Thank you Pandjh. I'm new to the tech part of my Connecta, but 2 questions:

How to reach the hidden menu?
How to perform a a system self test?

P. S yesterday evening, fault went away.?!?!

I searched the forum and now I know how to enter the hidden menu. I will follow Yr hint and report back. During the search I got the impression I should have had an SD card with my new J11 Connecta. Hmmm....

For benefit of users, I'm posting an image of my problem. As u see, my location is in the sea, some 20km offset from real location.

If your connect unit has an SD card slot on the front, it should have an SD card in it. The card holds the maps data.

Marz, just a question do you have the latest SD Card in your QQ. The reason I ask is that a few back we got directed of an Autobahn onto Side Roads twice and then as we were driving over a bridge the Navi showed us driving through a River. I dumped the Card and bought a new SD Card which I thought was Up to Date - Dave

First of all sorry, but I do have a card, the original version. Secondly the hidden menu has no function to tweak with GPS settings. The problem is intermittent, it fixed itself but I think it takes place when I enter a destination. I am travelling with car to Sicily and I'm nervous. I hope my mobile can be a substititute in case it fails. It is like software malfunction

Dave, did buying the card solved the issue then? It seems there is failed synchronisation between my actual location on the map, and I think it's a software issue rather then map data.

Marz, let us just say that the new SD Card does work and we have not had a similiar problem like driving through a river and getting wet

. After the problem happened the wife immediately bought a Paper Map as a backup and we always have the mobiles which help. But the Card as new was still out of Date - what‘s new Dave
