This might be of interest might not but at least the idea is shared, similar subjects have been posted a few years back. I was not in fact specifically looking for a solution for the QQ or cost (I know there are cheaper parts around) - Dave :)

A few years back I installed an LED Bulb in the Trunk Area Light Holder of the QQ which improved the Lighting. Now I have just seen these LED Movement Lights from Tschibo :idea: and bought a couple for some new House Cupboards. But part of my Brain kicked in :o and I just thought whether this Unit could be used in the QQ , simple installation and no wiring hassle. Well it worked and now we are minus one light for the Cupboards.

The Light is an LED Multifunction Light, No Cables, Mounted on a Magnetic Bracket which can be attached with Double Sided Tape or Screws. Trying to attach the Bracket with Tape is not really an option due to the Textured Finish of the Plastic, so I used both Tape and Screws. The Light Unit can be rotated whilst attached to the Magnetic Bracket or removed and used as a separate Handy Light.
The Light is manufactured from White ABS Plastic with a Transparent Light Cover, Length 25 cms, Dia 2,5 cms, cost was €14.99 (13 UK Pounds) and it has 3 AA Batteries with an approx Life of 30 hours. The Sensor is active up to 3 metres and will automatically shut off when no movement has been sensed for 30 secs. All parts were supplied and installation was around 10 mins. I have driven around for a few days and NO it has not dropped OFF :D

where did you get them, Dave ?
in a quick search I couldn't find them on Amazon.co.uk or eBay

Mike, Sorry but I believe you may well find that this Co. only now sell Coffee in the UK. I think they shut down the parts that were dealing with Home Accessory Items, you can however order on the Web but not so sure about Germany to UK. No problem with Amazon DE to UK...if the supplier will ship. Done it with Karcher stuff.

Tchibo closed here in the outer W. Mids about 6 years back...had some useful stuff. I'll make my own coffee though...cos I have the time?

Can't see anything useful on Aliexpress...need a deeper trawl

Amazon.co.uk & type in Led cupboard lights battery operated. Loads of them, some even have motion sensors :idea:

Nice one Dave!
As you probably know, I have a LED strip on each side of the trunk and OK its a bit more of a hassle but it's one of the best mods I did I think.
Especially as my private parking lot is really really dark. :)
