Navigation ignoring settings

Hi All,

I purchased my Qashqai 2014 (2014 -2017 model) last Feb 2018, the only issue (at the moment is) the navigation and how it routes.
long story short...
I went away to Cornwall (St Austell) and headed over to Poperro, where the navigation placed me at a ferry port... Really WTF???? So checked my settings and had avoid ferries enabled.
But still insisted the ferry was the best route... yeah right...

So I called Nissan, and left a message, called them again, then Nissan connect, then they gave me the Navigation people, and they claim they only supply the map and the algorithm used is from Nissan, then I called Nissan connect and Nissan to see if there is any updates. Nothing, no one has helped...

So I ask anyone, can anyone point me in the direction where to go next?

Pse always use the SEARCH box in top left of page first. There are numerous other earlier threads
on Sat Nav /Map issues, including how to buy a more recent map update SD card at much cheaper rate than Nissan.

Jyorke - To save you lots of reading Version 3 is the one currently supplied despite being a few years old. Allegedly V4 is on its way.
Of note, I had terrible trouble with a Garmin in New Zealand in January
