That is what the tyres would indicate, yes. That assumes the tyres were made at roughly the same time as the car. Ie, they're not likely to have months-old tyres at the factory waiting to be fitted nor would they want to install what some would perceive to be old stock.

Somewhere between.

I've just checked my vehicles.

The Ignis was ordered towards the end of May 2018 and its tyres are 0518 meaning early February.

The MT-07 was ordered in the middle of July 2018 and its tyres are 0418 meaning the end of January.

Both were "stock" specification with no extras.

However bear in mind both were made in Japan and hence would have been in transit for some time. Googling seems to suggest about two months.

So the Ignis must have been built sometime around March? And hence its tyres were a month or so old?

I realise that - hence I said "somewhere between". Try looking at other date codes on the car

There's some cracking deals to be had on 2018 model years, in my opinion for this particular reason - that they are out-of-date models. If you did the deal below I'm sure it would be on a 19 plate. Caveat emptor

That's not a particularly good deal? I reckon that's a £27,225 car using Nissan's configurator and they're wanting £25,580. And it seems you might get a Nissan Deposit Contribution of £1,750 on finance.

My ex-dealer has a pre-reg 1.2 Tekna for just £21,495 compared to the current 1.3 Tekna at £27,475 - OK so that's on an "18" plate but look at the saving.

Yes - that's on an 18 plate, that deal is on a 19 plate. A year-old car, even with no miles on the clock, will always be cheaper

Stevbutt, unfortunately I believe this has been mentioned before as the problem appears to be that Nissan launched the new J11B before all of the upgrades were included. Many “New” QQ’s still have the older 1,2L / 1,6L Engines, the Electronics were not updated, then the Electronics were updated and the new 1,3L engines appeared.
So there does appear to be a big bag of worms (A Mix / Out of Date) still out there where Big Discounts are being offered and this is naturally a Big attraction but the updates are not included. As Gloucester has mentioned unless you compare the old and new Brochures you will not see what the differences are and then you have to trust the Dealer that you are getting the latest Spec QQ.
I am still going through this, I have a quotation from an Old Spec. and am now comparing the old quote with the new “On Line” Brochure / Spec before discussing again with our Dealer.
It does look that you have to go through the Specs. with a fine tooth comb or use a Check List, as to spend such large sums of money and end up not getting what you want is just not on - Dave 🤨

... and let's not forget that the J12 is launched in about 12 months time too! :)

stevbutt wrote: Fri Apr 05, 2019 4:05 pm Hi,

Today I took delivery of my new Qashqai Tekna 1.3T and I am very please with it save one thing.

When I spoke to the lease company they assured me it had Android Auto and I would be able to run Google Maps
on the screen. However when i plug the phone ( Galaxy S9 ) in via the USB in the centre armrest all I get is
a message about the format of the USB device not being supported which sounds to me as though its trying it as
a mass storage device to look for music files and the like.

The Lease company did say it didn't have Apple Carplay and i am now wondering if they didn't know what they were talking about
though I keep coming across articles saying Android Auto has now become standard so maybe I just need a software update ?

The current software version is F216
Are you sure you are connecting the phone into the right USB? I remember reading somewhere that one of the USBs are for charging the phone only. Have a look at this video, he uses the front USB
