Phonebook will not download

Recently my phone stopped connecting to the Nissan connect system.
Tried a few things without success, removed the phone from the system and also deleted from the phone.
Anyway tried the set-up again and the phone does connect now but I cannot download my phonebook.
Every time I try it the says "phonebook download failed"
Any suggestions to try?

Go to the phone Bluetooth settings for the car and tap the gear icon. Check that "Contact Access" is enabled.

Unfortunately can't see Contact Access anywhere on my set-up!

I tried this recently after we got rid of our iPhone 5’s and bought X’s and reconnected and it worked for me surprisingly.

Been through that Dave!
Photo is paired and connected, I can receive calls and I can call out manually.
Issue is my phonebook is not on the system. I'm starting to think it may be my phone as I have just connected another phone and it is fine, with all contacts available to see!
I'm first to admit I am not very tech to work these things out!

This is what you need to be looking for on your phone. Then click on the gear icon for the QQ

Has anyone been able to download the phonebook from a samsung S20, i have tried and cannot get it to work ..........

I have a Samsung A20e and have downloaded the phonebook to my Qashqai Tekna 2020, BUT 3 of the contacts have not downloaded. They happen to be shortcuts\quick dial for my wife, daughter and home. They are in the contacts in order to be able to create the shortcuts so I don't understand why they have not downloaded. They only way around the problem would perhaps if I deleted the shortcuts, then downloaded the phonebook, then reinstate the shortcuts. I hope someone has a better way to resolve this problem

I have just realised that if your contacts are stored on the phone and NOT the sim card they will download
