I've had both the slip control on and off warning lights on my dashboard for well over a year now. Its just failed its MOT (new regulations) even though its not caused any problems with the car. Faults on the garage diagnostics didn't indicate faults with that so the garage needs to get a specialist in.

Ironically, Nissan contacted me to say my car is due a recall for a management update to the Engine Control Module.

I'm hoping that when I get this update done, it will clear the fault as I don't fancy paying out a fortune on diagnostics and repairs.

Anyone had any experience of this, or any insight into it?

Hi, as I got zero response to this I thought I would post what happened.

The ECM recall was nothing to do with it. Apparently slip warning lights or traction control lights both being permanently lit can be caused by a blockage in the DPF filter. A common fault apparently with these cars.

Hutch,

Thanks for giving the forum your experience with this fault, I'm sure someone will benefit from it at some point, if not already. :+1:
