J11 1.2digt connect audio and satnav malfunctions

Hi everyone. Shortly after warranty expiry (!) my 65 plate 1.2digT started to develop the random audio cutout (radio aux and cd) which has now become frequent and has extended to satnav rebooting. I understand this is a common problem which Nissan has been aware of for quite a long time but the really worrying thing is that according to main dealer Nissan hasn't a clue what to do about it. Dealer is being seemingly helpful in that they have identified a software upgrade and have offered to install it without charge. Dealer agreed they were aware of the issue when it was serviced last when still under warranty, but they said Nissan policy is only to deal with known defects as a warranty problem if the customer has spotted it! (beware buying another new Nissan) . They have also said the software update may not solve the problem as Nissan doesn't know what is causing it. Has anyone out there been able to establish what the problem is and how to get it fixed? Thanks . Mike
