Warning reset following Adblue topup

Hi. I drive a petrol Qashqai at home, but have rented a diesel version whilst travelling in Portugal and Spain. The Adblue warning message has come on, with a range of 850kms. I have added 5 litres of Adblue myself, but the message remains, and the range is decreasing. Phoning Avis has been hopeless, we're not near a dealer and there is no handbook.

Is there an easy way to reset this message through the Settings panel, or does it have to go to a mechanic ?

Do you not have an Emergency No. Other than Avis for Road Side Assistance or you have to do your own thing as you mentioned a mechanic which will cost and you most likely will not get it back - Dave 🤨

Yep thanks Dave, Avis got a bit unsure because we are now in a different country from where we rented the car. They recommended just topping up the Adblue and giving them the bill, but the on-board computer obviously doesn't recognise we have done this without some form of manual reset.

I will give them a call again, just a bit of a pain when we're on hols, hoping there might be a quick solution, but can't find one online

I'm sure someone said they had a software update to cure the adblue issue.
