Does anyone know which are the ultrasonic alarm sensors on the attached photo?
Reason I’m asking is I want to cover them up, as alarm keeps going off in the middle of the night.
Alarm doesn’t go off when I turn them off (button D on photo), but have to keep remembering to do so.
Thanks in advance.

Paj, Welcome ! Living in Germany we do not get this Sensor Alarm (Country Spec) luxury but reading the Manual it appears the only option is too Press “D” or “1”. I could well be wrong though and am not sure what is what to cover up. I am sure you will get an answer Dave

Here's a picture - you can see the ones by the switch are wired to the switch box
(2015 Nissan Qashqai Tekna DIG-T 1.2 sold 15/6/18) ~ 2018 Suzuki Ignis SZ5 - 2018 Yamaha MT-07 ~ (2024 Volvo EX30 ordered)
Thanks for the information. It looks, judging by the wiring, as if there are 2 pairs of emitters (C & E) and receivers (A & B). So I guess if I cover up C & E, hopefully that should sort it, and I can do away with keep pressing button D before I lock the car.

The J11A diagnostics I have lists 4 candidate items: (Current J11B may be a bit different?)
Intruder Sensor (in cabin at roof level with cancel button)
Siren Control unit
BCM
Associated plugs/cables
Diagnostics requires removal and inspection of above items. Most of that I suspect is simply pulling a unit and replacing with known good. There are no specific unit tests. Cables and plugs can be tested to some extent. The BCM unit of course is the most complex unit
From below I suspect it might useful to actually disconnect the Sensor itself...likely eliminating self generating false alarms? On the other hand BCM might not like that and kick the alarm off anyway. Might be worth a try...the whole cover comes off quite easily to expose the sensor etc. Note the Comm interrupt issue in both Partial and Full Arming

@calnorth thank you for the instructions. My qashqai is 64 plate but the newer model, hopefully its the same, there is the panel at the top as the above picture in the 1st post. Im not very technical with cars are there any instructions videos on youtube which shows how to disconnect the sensor? Thanks

I've had the plastic lens off, which is a gentle levering exercise....without metal screwdrivers really. The complete surround is likely screwed on with access to the screws when the plastic lens is off. Not sure.tom1234 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 9:07 am @calnorth thank you for the instructions. I had this last summer.
It was a moth that had become trapped in the car.
