Forward Collision Radar

I recently purchased a 2016 Nissan Quashqai and a bit confused hoe the foreward collision radar works as in the month ive had the car it has only come on once everything in the setup os correct
Any Ideas please?

Perhaps you're a good driver! In the two years I had my Qashqai it never applied the brakes, though the warning appeared occasionally.

I actually tried it for real on a stretch of road i new well. A car was turning right and I could see he had clear road ahead of him, I continued without braking and got the obligatory warning beep as I got closer there were more until eventually warning flashed up on the display and the brakes came on. As the car completed its turn the brakes were released and off I went on my merry way. Was a bit weird but kind of reassuring.

Unofon, definitely this FEB works well especially on our QQ, 3 times it has saved us due to idiots just stopping suddenly for a parking spot. The effect is just as Lusky described, if you are bold enough, you just have to leave your braking late and the system will operate - Dave

grab an old fridge box from currys and set it up in a safe place and try to kill the box! I did it - sad but true!
