Thank you so much for the info Colin very much appreciated.
Not being very savi with these things do you think there is a possibility that what I have bought could do some damage to the electronics in my car, assuming I have not disconnected the battery from the car?

Cheers
Bobby

Its a likelihood..China produces much Fake stuff. And its possibly dangerous for you.

The likes of Amazon and Ebay don't do technical quality checks.

If I had no reputable name to follow online I'd have to find a local shop and start questioning them. Thats going to be awkward and it would get to the point that I'd need to see the Capacitors.

I'd buy something myself if I was out of car warranty....it appears to be early days for the market here, so China can play games.

When you get that thing you might carefully open it up and peek in...show a pic if you can. If they sealed it don't bother.

Jump starter arrived this evening, the unit is sealed so can't access the capacitors for pics Colin.
I have also contacted them asking the question about the unit.
Cheers

They responded to me during the night Bobby. A single word to my question..."later"

Meaning... No, but they probably will sell such capacitor things...later. It appears you have a Lithium battery box with perhaps a power converter in it. Some sort of converter because they are making a claim that it will easily turn a starter motor when your main battery won't. Not impressed!

I got a message back saying that the unit is fine for the 2017 QQ 1.5dci.
No reply to the super capacitor question though!
Thanks

If your car is still under warranty I wouldn't use it...Some other non electronic car better.

Yeah I am uneasy about it, may just sure for charging laptop/phone etc when away until at least it can be verified that it is ok!
I also asked about the electronics but no definitive reply!
Cheers

Most of that stuff and much other comes from here: SW China adjacent to Hong Kong (floors and floors of it)
