Ballast Location

Hi everyone,
My front nearside Low beam headlight has recently stopped.
Having replaced the bulb and it not working, I tried the "not working" bulb in the drivers side and it worked. Also placing the known working bulb in the nearside, that doesnt work.

Yesterday I got in the car and the bulbs were both working, until I reached my destination and turned off the ignition. When trying the lights again, the nearside was not working.

I am suspecting it might be Ballast?

Could anybody tell me whether I might be correct and if so where the ballast is located in a 12 plate J10 facelift. Also is there a check I can do to prove it?

Any help much appreciated.

Keith

Welcome to this forum.

Ballasts are used with HID lights? Qashqais have never come with HID lights? No ballast?

Broken wire intermittently connecting? Dirty contacts?

I was concerned that might be the case and that it might not be Ballast 😔 Thank you for the clarification.
Looking at the wiring diagrams online it looks like it is either a faulty earth (thinking this is doubtful due to it being a shared earth with the main beam) or a faulty live.
I suspect that the live comes from the ECU somewhere.
I have swapped fuse 45 + 46 (left and right LO headlights 15A fuses). They are both fine and the fault stayed in the nearside once swapped. Without a multimeter I think I am out of options but to send it to a garage for a costly investigation?

Hi....The solitary contrast that will come about because of moving anchor bind from the bow to the center of the boat is a decrease in interest horsing in the event that you likewise have that issue. Assuming the chain winds up in a lower position, it was it might help lessen the delicacy issue a piece. To truly improve the underlying behaving you need counterweight mounted lower than the current stabilizer.

Where do you buy your replacement bulbs? On my last car, I changed the tail light but still had bulb failure warning even though the light was working. The "new" bulb was faulty, there are some rubbish replacement bulbs out there, so I now buy all m replacement bulbs from a main dealer, it is not as though you need to buy loads.

On my second RAV4, my Juke and my first QQ my first move was to upgrade the halogen bulbs from the Nissan candles to Osram Nightbreakers.
The bulbs came from eBay or Amazon but either way worked perfectly whilst I had the cars.
All difficult to change but luckily I have a young friend at my rugby club who is a mechanic and does little jobs for a few beers.
