NO MAIN BEAM J10

Hi wonder if anyone can help
,, both lights have stopped working on my qashqai j10 ntec ,bulbs OK ,ive tried fuses 45 and 46 in the fuse box under bonnet but these were fine ,ive spoken to a car auto electrician and he says there are 2 sets of fuses for lights ,ive looked in the fusebox to the bottom right of the steering wheel but nothing relates to lights ,ive read possible BCM fuse ? but cannot find any number fuse that relates to it ,

any help greatly appreciated could do without a big outlay before christmas and auto electrician wants £60 an hour

The fuses are for Headlamp Low and Headlamp High..to feed the bulbs themselves.

Looks like the fuses are ok as you say. Whats left is rather difficult to test but since you only tested the above fuses you need to look for what voltage is controlling the relay Headlamp Low of the IDPM - E/R unit.

Was it 10 amp fuses you tested?

Are we talking about Hi Beam or Dipped? Xenon or Halogen bulbs?

Hi the standard bulbs and its dipped beam ,all other lights are fine ,,, so you saying theres not a second fuse in another fusebox that relates to dip lighting system ?

The fuses for dipped (LO Beam) are F45 and F46 which should be 15 Amp

Also:
The power and control to switch the relays that control the lights is within this unit - IPDM E/R (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION
MODULE ENGINE ROOM)

There would be a fuse for the IPDM unit but if other lights are working I don't think its that fuse.

apologies yes 2x blue 15 amps that i checked

Youv'e only got lamp cable/plug continuity after that and whether the DIM relay is working.
