I have a 2014 1.5 qashqai that I'm having a few issues lately, first auto stop/start warning came on, then one after the other, chassis control warning, abs warning, amber engine light, followed by red engine light. On analysis by mechanic it comes up glow plug fault, exhaust gas and clutch fault( prob from clutch riding ) changed battery and reset all ok for last 6 weeks, all lit up again yesterday same faults, mechanic now suggesting glow plug replacements. Anyone else come across this? Does it sound right what mechanic is following?

I would question if your battery was being charged ok. Try any overnight recharge to see if issues go away again for a while?

I had battery replaced with brand new model, surely this would show on start up if it was a battery issue? Thanks for reply

I'm no auto-electrician for sure but its perhaps something easy to try if only to rule out the charging system as a possible cause. Electrical issues = battery problem? Battery problem = charging problem?

Follow this vid below. Check after a couple of hours stopped. And setup to view when driving:

About 11.5 to 12.5v after a couple of hours stopped.

About 14v while driving

So after investigation by nissan mechanic it turns out all of the faults i have are down to a blocked pipe at the rear of the engine, apparently to clear turbo, dpf and all has to come off but they say 100% this is the issue and not electrical, we will see tomorrow when it comes back, just went from £100 repair to £250 as a bolt sheered when they were started removing from manifold 🙄🙄🙄

For the diesels its a very common occurrence reported on this forum. I lately think that that pipe needs to be on scheduled service per 3 years (say)...clean it out.
