sat nav question

ive just bought my qashqai tekna 07 and drove it at night for the first time last night, my question is the satnav is high up on the dash and glows whiter than white and is very distracting, i assumed that it would automatically turn to night mode like other sat navs/phones, is there a setting or is this a fault? it also needs updating, how do i do this? although to be fair i'll probably rely on my phones satnav more than the in car one

If you press RADIO it goes off sat nav.

Unfortunately I don't have a J10 Nissan Connect handbook but there should be a setting there to alter the display - needs to be on Auto.

I'm not convew3rsant with the specs on such an early car but is there anything else fitted that relied on teh daylight sensor? Maybe there's a problem with the sensor.

For maps check out what card is fitted and then look on eBay for a more up-to-date one for that series. You just need to put the new card in.

When I had my 61 plate ntec that used to turn to night mode automatically..... I'm not sure if ever there was a way of altering it
