Automatic central locking - 67 plate N-Connecta 1.6 diesel

Hi,

Recently bought my Qashqai but battling to understand how to have the central locking to automatically lock all the doors after a certain time or after pulling off or similar?

If you can advise that would be most helpful.

Unfortunately you can't effect that apart from pressing the button on the door.

You can get dongles for the J11 but I don't know if that's also the case with the J11b

To be honest you soon get to manually push the door button as part of the starting procedure. I do the same on my current car.

I borrowed the office pool Polo on Wednesday and the loud clunk when setting off disturbed me until I realised what it was...

What I'm not sure about with the Qashqai is whether the boot release is in any case disabled when the ignition is on before a door (possibly only the driver's door) is opened. On my Fabia that was the case - no one could open the boot if you were stopped at lights etc. I never tested it with the Qashwai - does anyone know?
