Touchscreen problems

Hi.

I'm encountering a problem with my touchscreen (Qashqai Acenta Premium 2014 model).

I'm having to press keys one or more spaces to the left of intended button to achieve desired result (e.g. press one key to left of 'repeat' to repeat CD track; press 3 keys to left of intended character to input address on SatNav etc.).

Garage thought updating SatNav software might work (it didn't) and have now said only other option is to buy a whole new unit (c.£2500). Cost and car's value makes this impractical.

Has anyone had similar experience and, if so, how did you resolve it?

There's an option, hidden menu maybe, that you can recalibrate the screen. Well there is on my '66 plate, I would assume there is on yours.

I've been able to access hidden menu using YouTube video , but can't find option for re-calibrating screen. Can anyone help please?
