Data wont show anything mate sounds like they dont have a clue, I found to recreate this concern you have to turn the ignition off very slowly and remove the key very slowly and it will stick then. Hope you manage to sort this out with that dealer mate. Might be worth getting hold of customer services and tell them.

Lewisbryant, same problem yesterday. It registered with me that no sound heard when I extracted key. Car did not lock on key fob. I am starting a list of these glitches and will contact Nissan Customer Services.

Billgo, from past experience I have always found putting your problems in Black & White and sending it by email and also phoning (Call Centre is normally none Technical). What normally happens on receipt by NCS is that an automatic reply will come with your “Case No.” for later reference with NCS and or your Dealer, but at least it is registered and in the system. Nissan have now agreed to replace the ignition barrel. It is on order and expected soon. It took a bit of badgering of Nissan Customer Service.
