Upgrade SD satnav to non-SD satnav

Hi there,
Does anyone know whether it is possible to upgrade the SD satnav radio from a J11 to a non-SD radio like the 259157FW0A or FW0B? I have heard that the radios are coded to the ECU but is there anything else to consider?

I did it in april yet. If anyone have some questions, i will try to answer.
I bought radio without sd from qashqai 2019 and installed it in my x-trail 2019 ( was installed radio with sd)

Very, very interesting. The 2019 Nissan In Car Entertainment system (ICE). Or Infotainment system
Yours is Xtrail so what is the cable conversion details. We would need the wiring mod detail to check the Qashqai wiring compatibility (for differences).
What was the price of the 2019 ICE you have?
What about Nissan software updates?

I had sat nav with sd. Now I did myself and have new generation nissan connect without sd.
I have all wiring diagrams for almost all nissan.

But after installation, you'll need go to dealer and rewrite your keys again. And all will be ok)))

Hi @incipient thank you for sharing these details. Can I just confirm, did you previously have the older Connect unit with double buttons on the left and right as well as the SD card?
Do you have the pinout for the older headunit with SD card? So basically are you saying that there will be no damage if I connect the newer headunit to an older Qashqai?
